Frequently asked questions.

What does FPV mean?

FPV stands for “First Person View”. We fit our drones with a camera that wirelessly transmits video feed to a headset worn by the pilot. The pilot has a first-person view of what the drone sees and may capture video or still images.

What is Part 107?

In order to fly a drone under the FAA 's Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA . This certificate demonstrates that you understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones.

What is your turn around time?

It depends on the location and what services you need. Unedited raw footage can usually be provided within 24 hours. Still photographs and edited footage will take about a week depending on the amount of footage.

Do I need to be onsite for the shoot?

We do prefer to meet with you on location to discuss any specific shots you would like, but it is not required.

Do you charge for travel?

Any travel expenses will be included in the price we quote you for your project.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we can accept payment through Square as long as a card is present. To run a card not present there is a 6% fee.

How high and fast can you fly?

FAA regulations allow up to 400 feet in most areas. Areas nearer airports have lower limits, and certain areas require preauthorization. FAA regulation limits speed at 100 miles per hour. Most of our flights are up to 50 miles per hour. Indoor flights are at lower speeds.

Are there any safety concerns?

There are always some safety concerns with drones. However, all of our indoor drones are ducted (the propellers are covered) to prevent contact. We follow all FAA regulations to maintain a safe environment. We are licensed and insured.

Will weather affect scheduling?

Yes, weather can affect scheduled shoots. We do our best to review the expected weather and schedule at a time with the optimum anticipated weather, but, especially with an outdoor shoot, we will need to reschedule in case of rain or high winds.

What sets us apart from other drone photographers / videographers?

Because we fly our drones manually and with first person view, our flights have more precision and a better cinematic perspective. We can perform all the same tasks and shots as a “standard” drone, but we can also perform flips and acrobatic maneuvers.
